Church Brew Works, Pittsburgh, PA

December tasting is at Chuck’s house, Wednesday night starting around 7:30PM.  Theme is Christmas beers, but any holiday and/or seasonal beers will be acceptable.  I’m opening the tasting up to any friends and family, so feel to bring a friend, spouse or whoever. We may even have a guest bartendar to help serve us holiday cheer.

Foods planned to be served are guiness cupcakes and likely some chips and salsa, as well as a few other selections.  However, keep in mind that due to recent dietary restrictions the menu may be a little different than in year’s past.

Chuck is breaking out a mini-keg of a Belgium Triple Ale from The Church Brew Works in Pittsburgh.  This is my favorite place in all of Pittsburgh. In addition to having excellent beer selections, the atmosphere of an old Catholic Church gives the place an unusual character.  Since this doesn’t follow the theme, we may have a bonus beer, perhaps last year’s Unibroue Vintage Ale from Trader’s Joe?   Although with a good attendance and lots of beers to drink, I’m not sure a bonus beer will be necessary.

Speaking of Vintage Ale, I couldn’t find it this year and the beer clerks at Trader’s Joe didn’t seem to know what was going on.  Did anybody see this on sale this year?

Feel free to comment below on what you’ll be bringing so that we can help avoid duplicates.  Thanks!!!
